From the very beginning, the specialty printing inks resins of former manufacturer Mitchanol, UK - later Tennants Inks and Coatings, UK - are part of our portfolio. Since 2006, these products are being produced by BIP (Oldbury) Limited, who also belong to the Tennants Group, and today we particularly sell the Surkopak (plasticising) and Surkofilm (film-forming) polyurethane resins for the production of solvent-based flexographic and gravure inks, including composites.
With the Beetafin polyurethane dispersions, BIP also offers an interesting portfolio of largely solvent-free products for various applications.
These products are characterised by the following properties, among others:
- NMP- and NEP-free
- fast dry, ease of film formation
- excellent adhesion to various substrates
- outstanding flexibility and impact resistance
- excellent abrasion resistance
- compatible with other aqueous monomers and polymers
BIP PUDs are available in different hardness settings and can be cross-linked
